Birkholz named FBI Infragard San Diego Sector Chief

SAN DIEGO, CA--March 31, 2006--Erik Pace Birkholz, President and co-founder of Special Ops Security, was recently elected as the Information & Telecom Sector Chief for the San Diego InfraGard Chapter. InfraGard is a national information sharing program between the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the private sector. The complete list of Sector Chiefs can be found at

"I was deeply honored to be elected to this position by the other San Diego members," said Birkholz. "I feel that Infragard facilitates a critical link between the private and public sectors. As information security professionals, we should share our expertise and knowledge of defensive security techniques with critical service providers. From my perspective, the U.S. government is the most important of these service providers."

Birkholz was introduced to the chapter by a current customer after a recent successful vulnerability assessment. Although we cannot reveal the name of the customer for confidentiality reasons, they were so impressed with our attention to detail and work ethic that they wrote a letter of commendation for our team which helped secure an invitation into the elite Infragard group.
