Stephan Barnes is the Vice President Sales for Special Ops Security. Prior to his current role, Barnes was VP of Sales for the Professional Services practice of Foundstone / McAfee until his departure in March 2006. During his distinguished six years with Foundstone, which included an acquisition by McAfee in 2004, Barnes was the very first VP of Sales and oversaw all aspects of customer development during the critical first two years of its growth stage.

Barnes is widely known in the industry and is a contributing author of the Second through Fifth Editions of Hacking Exposed where he has contributed in the chapters regarding War Dialing, PBX and Voicemail Hacking. Prior to joining Foundstone, Barnes was a Senior Manager at Arthur Andersen and Ernst & Young's computer security practices. Prior to his Big X consulting experience, he was employed by Northrop and worked on various "Black World" projects with Northrop Grumman and the Department of Defense including the B-2 Stealth Bomber and other classified projects where he has held SECRET-SAR and TOP SECRET clearances.

Barnes earned his Bachelors' degree in Computer Information Systems from California Polytechnic University Pomona.
